Help Shape CAAS Ground Vehicle Standard V5.0

Your Experience. Your Ideas. A Stronger Standard.

The Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) invites ambulance manufacturers, remounters, EMS providers, industry professionals, and other interested stakeholders to help shape the next edition of the CAAS Ground Vehicle Standard (GVS), scheduled for release in July 2028.

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement and industry-driven standards, we are seeking suggestions for new requirements, modifications to existing requirements, and opportunities to improve clarity, safety, and effectiveness.

We want to hear from you. Whether you’ve identified a requirement that needs clarification, encountered a challenge implementing the current standard, or have an idea that could improve ambulance safety or performance, your input is valuable.

Submit Your Suggestion

Use the form below to share your recommendation with the CAAS GVS Standards Committee.

  • Submit a separate form for each suggestion.
  • Identify the applicable GVS section or requirement, if known.
  • Describe your proposed change and explain why you believe it is needed.
  • Include supporting documentation or suggested wording, if available.

About This Process

This is an initial opportunity to gather industry input before development of the next edition. All suggestions will be reviewed for consideration by the CAAS GVS Standards Committee. Submission does not guarantee inclusion in the revised standard.

A separate, formal public-comment period will be announced once a draft of the revised standard is available for review.

Together, we can continue raising the standard for ambulance safety, quality, and performance.
